Snuggies

I have wanted a Snuggie for months, and I'm not embarrassed to admit it. I like to wear shorts around my house during all seasons, so I usually carry a comforter around with me at all times when I'm inside. I'm essentially a real life version of Linus from the Peanuts commercial. I saw a picture of Andy and Alex from Honor Society wearing what appeared to be Ninja Turtle Snuggies, and you can certainly imagine my disappointment when I found out that they actually were Snuggie rip offs called "Fleece Blankets with Sleeves." If I had a ninja turtle snuggie, I would be the coolest person in my neighbourhood. But sadly, I don't think that dream will ever materialize.

My craving for a Snuggie was only heightened when I found out that Weezer had created a snuggie of their own. I'm a big Weezer fan, and I love Rivers Cuomo, so I was excited about the possibility of owning a weezer snuggie. Unfortunately I'm not big on using my credit card for online purchases, so in a move that hurt me deeply, I decided to pass on the Weezer snuggie, knowing that it would take me a while to get over it.

I hate getting presents. I always have, probably always will. But I took the opportunity this year to ask for a Snuggie. I had no preference on color or design, I just wanted to be able to read a book while being toasty warm. I'm fairly certain that I already have one waiting underneath the tree, and if there isn't one, I will probably cry. I'll take it as a sign that a snuggie and I just aren't meant to be. It'll be unfortunate, and I don't know if I will ever fully recover from the disappointment, but life is full of disappointments, and the best I can do is just keep on living.

I haven't heard anything bad about a Snuggie. In fact, an inside source of mine says:

"My snuggie is now my favorite household item. I drag it with me upstairs and downstairs and I find myself wearing it even when it's not cold. it's super comfy and let's face it... I look sexy as hell in it ;)"

  2. Oh generally I prefer "Fleece blanket with Sleeves," fight the man! I remember an FML post that said something about the guy's credit card info being hacked, but the person forgot to change his address information, so he had been receiving snuggies in the mail allll week long.

How many snuggies do you need?
I hope you unwrap an authentic sleeve-blanket tomorrow.
